How To Live Your Best Life
How do you feel about life at this very moment? Have you ever sat back and wondered what life would be like if you could create it on your own terms? What if I told you that just by making a few changes to your daily routine, you could manifest the life of your dreams?
You see, the key to living your best life is by taking control of your life. You have the power to dictate how your life will go, where you will travel the world, and how you’ll make your mark. Over the past few years, I’ve transformed my life and began manifesting the things that I used to dream about. I can honestly say that “I used to pray for times like this”. I’m walking in my purpose, married my soulmate, building my dream career, surrounded by positive energy, and so much more.
My goal in life is to always live my best, authentic, life! And unbeknownst to me, I share this goal with my one of my biggest inspirations, Ms. Oprah Winfrey. She actually first coined this term in 2005 with her book, "Live Your Best Life". (When I discovered this I nearly fainted lol)
If you’re open to shifting your mindset to attract the life that you desire, check out this list of habits that you can adopt today!
1. Start Every Day With A Fresh Start
Every day that you wake up is a new opportunity for you to work towards the life of your dreams. Start each day with a clean slate and a new outlook on life. Set your intentions for the day and begin with a grateful heart. Learn to leave yesterday’s misery in the past and only focus on the positives.
Exercise: Create a morning ritual to set the tone for your day.
2. Find The Good In Every Situation
When you focus on the good, the good gets better! Learn to find the positive even in a bad situation. Once I started looking at my “L’s” as lessons instead of losses, my life changed. I no longer said “Why is this happening to me”, I began to say “What is this suppose to teach me?” #GameChanger Even on my worst days, I’m still finding something to be grateful for.
Exercise: Can you go 24 hours without complaining? Pick a day this week and try it.
3. Spend Time With Yourself
Learn to find peace in being alone. Learn to find clarity in silence. Learn to listen and connect with the inner you. I LOVE my “me time”. It gives me a chance to relax and reflect. So many messages come to me when I sit alone with myself and I’m able to check in with my feelings. Your health (physical, mental, spiritual) is your biggest priority. Know yourself. Invest in yourself.
4. Fight Past Fear
No one said it would be easy and no one ever said that it wouldn’t be scary. Claiming the life that you want takes courage. You have to trust yourself enough to know that whatever is on the other side of what is frightening you, is worth you being strong enough to push past your fear and do it! Fear is crippling. It’s debilitating. It holds us back from reaching our goals because we’re too afraid to even try. Stop letting fear stop you before even getting started!
Exercise: Come up with a list of things that gives you anxiety. Pick three things from that list and attack them this month. It can be as simple as calling an old friend or finally submitting your resume to the job of your dreams.
5. Be You. Do You. For You.
Everyone won’t like you and everyone won’t support you. That’s okay! Stay true to who you are, do what’s best for you, and take control of your life. We weren’t created to live a mediocre life. Go after what’s yours and don’t look back.
Exercise: Create a list of people, places, and activities that bring you joy. Pick someone from that list and spend time with them going somewhere that you love doing something that makes you smile.
